Your initial credit limit is auto-approved during onboarding using program-level criteria and soft credit pulls, because we do not run hard credit pulls:
- Initial limits are capped at a predefined maximum.
- Higher limits require additional financial visibility.
- The same approach applies to all credit limit increases.
This allows you to get started quickly while keeping your credit report unaffected. However, with additional documentation, we can support you with whatever credit limit is required for your business.
Why documents are required for credit limit increases:
Affiniti does not perform hard credit pulls when approving accounts or increasing credit limits. Because of this, we rely on financial documents to responsibly assess your business’s cash flow and existing obligations.
Providing documents helps us:
- Approve higher credit limits beyond your initial auto-approved amount.
- Ensure responsible lending based on real operating data.
- Process credit limit increase requests faster with fewer follow-ups.
What documents do we ask for:
The documents we request depend on the credit limit you’re requesting.
For limits above your initial approved amount and less than $100,000 we ask for:
- Last 3 months of business bank statements
- Last 3 months of business credit card statements
These help us understand your monthly cash inflows and outflows, existing credit usage, payment behavior and liquidity
For limits above $100,000, we perform commercial underwriting and also request:
- Most recent Profit & Loss (P&L) statement
- Most recent Balance Sheet
These provide a fuller picture of business profitability and overall financial health
Things to keep in mind
- We never run hard credit checks as part of this process.
- Documents are used only for underwriting purposes.
- All information is handled securely.
